Meet the Maker

Started by Randy Fung in 1979, Randy’s Patties has become a staple in the Eglinton and Oakwood area, otherwise known as “Little Jamaica”. Now, they’re bringing Toronto’s beloved streetfood to the Queen’s Cross Food Hall. For a limited time, you can grab their patties right in the heart of Downtown Toronto.Β

An immigrant from Jamaica, Randy never compromises on quality. He uses only natural ingredients and a special blend of spices, resulting in flavour and textures unique only to Randy’s Patties. They say you know you’re approaching Randy’s by its aroma. If you have a chance to visit them in Little Jamaica, be sure to check out their oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken, or soup of the day. They promise a party atmosphere and all the vibes!Β

What Inspires Their Food

Their style can be summed up as authentic Jamaican, old-school cooking, with natural spices and herbs. Randy’s makes everything from scratch, and according to the owner, they don’t skimp on anything! Food is only as good as the ingredients used, so they only source the best natural ingredients giving preference to local farmers and butcher shops.Β

About Today’s Snacks

Your snack today is a spicy beef patty served with a jerk chicken salad. The beef patty embodies the owner’s philosophy that “Patty mus’ have peppa”. For this reason, the patties have a kick to them. Mild patties are a nono at Randy’s. Accompanying the patty is a jerk chicken salad that’s refreshing and the perfect pair for a hot summer day.

In response to popular demand, Randy’s told us they’re working on a few new locations in the pipeline. Follow them for updates!Β
